how to practice positive self-talk

Did you say anything like this to yourself “Don’t give up”, “I will not lose”? How do you feel? or Does it helpful to your situation?

When you are a little, do you remember that when the teacher told you ” Don’t run”, how do you feel? Would you like to keep running after that?

What if I tell you that don’t think about a cat, what images would be came up immediately in your mind? Get it now?

In fact, “Don’t give up”, “I will not lose” & “Don’t run” make us easier to give up, lose & run. That’s because when we are in a difficult time, our mind doesn’t process the whole sentence really well, we may only listen to the single word and do what we say at that moment.

So, what should we say when we are in an intensive match? Instead of saying “Don’t give up”, why don’t we say “Keep going”? or instead of saying “I will not lose”, why don’t we say “I will win”? or instead of saying “Don’t run” by a teacher, why does he/her say “Stop”. All these are positive wordings and easy instructions to follow along.

Positive wordings should be found by yourself when you use it on your own cause It is the only wordings work for you, so you need to say it in your mind and get practices while you need it.

With 8 MIN Plank Abs Workout, it would be a good opportunity for you to practice positive self-talk. I would say it is not easy for beginners, but you could go on with 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off for each exercise, have a try, and use positive wordings to get through it.
